"R.W. Gary Heinmiller, born in Albany and raised in Loudonville, is the Grand Historian for the Grand Lodge of New York. He founded and serves as the Archivist for the Onondaga [1995] and Oswego [1998] Masonic Districts Historical Societies [OMDHS], which maintains an active website with over 8000 pages of Masonic History, Philosophy & Ritual, Geometry and Links, and was a charter Area 11 Historian for the Grand Lodge, for 24 years, 1994 to present. Among his works are a List of New York Lodges from 1759 to the present, the book, “Freemasonry and a View of the Perennial World Philosophy,” a compilation of over 4000 pages of New York Freemasons in the Civil War, and Lodge Histories for nearly every Lodge in the Grand Lodge of New York, most of which, and more, may be viewed at the OMDHS website at: www.omdhs.syracusemason.com."
